

Oral Devices don't work for folks with central sleep apnea, and they may not be a good fit if you have extremely sensitive teeth. Other than that, it is rare that we see a person who is contraindicated for an oral device.



Yes! Oral Devices are a great 2-for-1 for treating both Sleep Apnea and Bruxism (teeth grinding). Often, Oral Devices last even longer than grind guards because they may treat the underlying condition as well as the symptom.

Can't I just get an mouthguard on Amazon?



We recommend a custom fit device for many reasons. The most important being that they are clinically proven to treat sleep apnea much more effectively. We will send you home with a monitor you can wear while you are sleeping for your adjustment period to definitively tell if your device is working or not. We are the only sleep dentistry practice that actively checks your sleep data to make sure the device is actually working, and you'll be able to see the data for yourself.

We frequently see patients with Oral Devices that are effective for 5 years or more. Oral Devices come with a 3 year warranty if they break inside your mouth. That is all time you would have been buying hoses, masks, and filters for your CPAP!
