Potential Side Effects

Let's be upfront. Every therapy has potential side effects. Luckily, Oral Device side effects are low. Although the overwhelming majority of patients find Oral Devices to be quite comfortable, here are the few things we do see.

Temporary Jaw Soreness

Most patients experience minor jaw soreness in the mornings for the first 7-10 days. This is normal and we have tools to help!

Dental Discomfort

A very small number of patients can be sensitive to the device and will need a loose fitting device. We can fix this!

Less than 1 millimeter bite migration

Over 96% of patients don't experience any bite change. The ones that do have a small, visually unnoticeable changed. No risk of "cash register face".
